Choosing the slow lane, driving close to the earth, heading for sustainability at the end of the race………..
That’s the opening line on the flyer I received a bit ago from Casey O’Leary, famed slam poetess and gardener. She is inviting one and all to TURTLE TALK, FRIDAY JANUARY 26TH, 6:30-8:30pm @ Wright Congregational Church, 4821 Franklin Road, Boise, ID.
To taste local, organic soup prepared by Casey (oh my gawd, the woman COOKS, too!) be there at 6:30. Suggested donation, $4 for Idaho Earth Institute Members and $5 for non. Spoonin up spicy lentil and winter squash stew and Idaho Potato Chowder.
Casy is the owner of Earthly Delights Farm and Landscaping. Her farm is part of the Local Grub Collective of human powered farms. She has market gardened and raised chickens for three seasons and will expand into bee keeping this season. She walks the talk in sustainability and simple living.
