Grand Event……..Grand Opening

Mark those calendars for 1pm, Monday, May 15th to be at the Idaho Botanical Garden. We will be dedicating the new Lewis and Clark Native Plant Garden with music, food, and a ceremony by the family descendants of Shoshone-Agadaika Chief Cameawait and his sister Sacajawea.

Last year, Roseanne Abrahamson and her family performed a blessing as we began contstruction of the garden. She was incredibly regal in her red ceremonial dress and gifted in her ability to touch the hearts of the people who participated in the ritual.

The garden is brand new, but the bones are good and the plants are starting to grow. The round building, The Gathering Place, has a state of the art green roof.  The stones were quarried at nearby Tablerock.  Some are inscribed with the names of our generous donors………just like Capt. Wm Clark signed his name on a rock on the trail.

Join us, will you?
