Big week ahead.

The Green Industry folks of Idaho start rocking and rolling this week, in spite of the snow on the ground and the bitter cold outside.

The Idaho Nursery and Landcape Association, or INLA, is putting on the Horticulture Expo starting on Wednesday, at the Grove/Convention Center downtown Boise. It’s great fun, a lot of new information, familiar friendly faces, and THE place to meet and greet. I picked out a full slate of presentations to keep me busy on Wednesday, starting with Cory Bordine of Bordine’s Nursery in Rochester Hills, MN and his presentation of the Bordine Experience. Also checking out the program on Digital Photography, and Vanishing Water Features.

Thursday is “Knowing and Growing the Natives of the Rocky Mountains” and “New Plant Introductions/Monrovia.” Now, both of those are running concurrently, but what the hell, I say, I have managed to be in two places at once before……….I am a multi-tasking fool. I am.

REALLY looking forward to the women from Denver Botanical Gardens talking about Hardy Cacti & Succulents and Formal Gardening with Water Smart Plants.

All the while, I am two days behind schedule with my color board/design board for the Boise Flower and Garden Show project. That’s what I will be doing this afternoon. Gawd, I hate it when I get behind. And then, there is the book to finish for Book Club tomorrow night, A Sand County Almanac (this is our month to pick something on our own re: the environment). Not to mention the new copy I got in the mail of Julie & Julia……maybe I can read both books at once. See paragraph two above. Thank you Debra for Julie & Julia and your constant encouragement.
