Buffalo Garden Walk 2010

Today, in Buffalo NY, fifty THOUSAND people with tour 350 gardens, large and small, designed and not designed, all loved and tended. There are no tickets. It may be THE most successful and well attended garden tour in America. Show me your stuff if you’ve got sumpin sumpin better. I’d love to know.

Here is my little teensy homage to the gardens of Gordon and Brian of Bird Street. They let us in, we went back for seconds, then they had trouble getting rid of us. Just a few snaps. Oh, didn’t hurt that the Tiki Bar was in full swing w/punchy lemonade.

Gardening 365 – Day 204. I killed a cicada killer wasp, weeded, watered and mulched.

That garden is fantastic! I loved the red wing fly that kept the rain off us the day we visited. Even the container grown tomatoes in the very utilitarian driveway were beautiful.

  2. I loved their garden. I’m so glad we went back to see it in the sunshine. How fun would it be to live in Buffalo and party at Bird Street after the Garden Walk visitors go home?
