Me too, all I have is snow and ice. Your salad bar sounds cool, the planter and the greens. Looking at your blog side bar I see you are recommending Kathryn Stockett’s book, The Help. It is a great story that I enjoyed it very much. So I’m seconding your recommendation.

I like the idea of your “Salad Bar.” I’m totally goofy about growing greens this year. Nothing like a fresh, home-grown salad.

I love reading this correspondence. I am glad it is back, even though all I have is snow and 40 degree temperatures.

Here in Indiana it is still just “high’s in the 30′s” so the snow is slowly melting. Most of what is left are the big mountains of snow on the edges of parking lots and of course, on the northside of most of the buildings. I have crocuses peaking thru, just barely. No tulips yet. By the weekend, we could see temps in the 50′s which is going to feel like summertime! I’ll be sowing early cool season veggies before I know it!

Sounds like things are beautiful Idaho today. We have clouds and projected rain and snow. Ugh, but I did get some of my cold weather veggies in the ground. Can’t wait to see how the season unfolds, and yes, my tulips and crocus are peeking out of the ground.~~Dee
