Gardens of the Wild Wild West

Gardening is civil and social, but it wants the vigor and freedom of the forest and the outlaw. ~H.D. Thoreau

Gardening 365, Day 30

January30

You know you are a garden geek when:

a. you create an Excel spreadsheet to track your garden seed inventory
b. there are at least74 different seed varieties listed
c. that list has 8 different zinnias
d. you have 5 different zucchini varieties
e. you have not even gotten to the tomatoes.

With all due respect to one of the geekiest of hort heads, Carol, of May Dreams Gardens.

Hey, I resemble this post. Check I use an Excel spreadsheet. Yes, there were more than 74 varieties, not including the ‘maters, well maybe it was just 7 kinds of zinnias. Oops, I did grow 5, or was it 6, types of zucchini. But i think I’ve purchased all the tomato varieties, about 8 of them, I think, nearly half of what I bought last year. Hmmm….

This made my laugh Mary Ann. I ordered a ton of seeds the other, and yes, I haven’t even gotten to the tomatoes. Keep on buyin’, I say, spur the economy (at least in seeds). ~~Dee

I thought I was the only one trying to spur the economy with buying seed! I feel much better that I am not alone. I recieved some where in the neighborhood of 2000 seed yesterday.

I just imported the Google Earth view of my garden into Sketch up to figure out my rows … how’s that rank?
