Gardens of the Wild Wild West

Gardening is civil and social, but it wants the vigor and freedom of the forest and the outlaw. ~H.D. Thoreau

Gardening 365, Day 1

January1

I’ve decided to try a little project, keeping track of what I do that is garden related, 365 days of the year. Yes, I eat, breath, dream, read, work gardens every day.

January 1: I organized all my seed catalogs, alphabetically. More importantly, I put them all in ONE PLACE. Granted, its a small endeavor, but garden related all the same. Plus,

I decanted a quart of the beautiful cherry heering and served it at our dinner party last night. Ahhhh, savoring the bounty of the garden in the depths of winter. Resolved to make a triple batch in 2010.

Mmmmmmm…….that cherry heering looks fantastic. Did you serve it on the rocks? I may have to give that a try this year.

Yeah, I love this idea! I really do. My new year’s resolution will be to try and FOLLOW you over 365 days ~ that’s more exciting than doing it myself!
MA, you have to read my little essay called The Scarf Society. It will remind you of what we were doing together 2 months ago today!

I cannot figure out how to do it. Any ideas to point me in the right directio?

And also if this is a garden blog about Idaho, why does it seem that the writer of that entry above lives in my area of Berkeley?

    Thanks for your help.
