It's too late, Mary Ann, now we all know you have 21 pots of plants that are in desperate need of being planted!!! Ha ha ha. Good luck with that.

Mmmmmm......caprese salad sounds wonderful. Still waiting on our tomatoes.

Time for some doggie aversion therapy? Toss a shake can anytime he approaches the fruiting plants. That might do the trick.
I'm lucky that I can get plants in nursery pots through the summer to be planted in the fall. I've got quite a lot now, but not because I'm lazy or too busy. I discovered I need to rent a jackhammer to break up the concrete a foot below the surface before I can plant anything else.

Count me as one who is watching her tomatoes like a hawk. The first to ripen will be the cherry tomatoes. I can hardly wait! Grow, ripen, turn red already!

I'm all caught up on planting everything I've purchased, including 18 daylilies that I bought on Friday. They are all planted out, labeled, mulched, and yesterday we had a long soaking rain to settle them in good. That's not always the case with new plants, but what can I say, maybe I just haven't bought as many as you this year?

And I'm sorry to hear about the 'Cue Ball' squash and hope you have some seeds left over to plant some more!

Ah, well, I've let plants go before. I have two daylilies which need potting up this very minute. I think I'll do it in the morning. I am feeling the same way about tomatoes. Dammit grow, ripen!

A friend brought me some of her homegrown tomatoes this week, so I bought fresh mozzarella and made Insalata Caprese. Yum!
